My optimism is based on the surge in the price of GRE on very, very high volume AND (1) GRE is now not being shopped for sale (Nesbitt is gone) (2) The plans (rumored and otherwise) to swap debt for equity etc. etc. seem to have changed with the change in top management (3) the poison pill defence approved very recently.

My sense is that management is focussed on ramping production ASAP AND the higher the share prices goes the more flexibility they have to raise several million dollars to reduce some of the short term debt.
