"In America's Great Depression, Murray Rothbard argued logically that inflation from credit expansion
obscured the deflationary forces in the economy that resulted from an increased supply of goods.
The resulting low inflation of the 1920's persuaded the Fed to maintain an expansionary policy. This fueled
the boom further and set the stage for the Depression." - David Tice, Barron's, 7/18/98

the more things change, the more they remain the same... uncanny!

Mike,

That's a good start. A kinder, gentler Mike/Will. I'm sure it feels good to you too. <g>

BTW, if I came across a tad zealous or offensive in regards to that issue, I apologize. I didn't mean to, but I sometimes get a bit looey when I have five cups of coffee and four Ding Dongs during the course of the day. <g>
