Lycos is a megaportal without the traffic. Alta Vista was a good search engine that under CPQ's ownership is also trying to play the "Show Me The Traffic" game. They just don't get it. A search engine needs to be trustworthy. It cannot merely be a traffic generator or a sales engine.

FDX reported earnings this morning - came in at .73 a share, two cents above consensus estimates of .71. Yet the stock is down 1.5 at this point. An interesting quote from a Reuters article on the earnings: "Domestic operations at the Federal Express unit showed some weakness, analysts noted. Domestic revenue grew only about 4 percent to $2.6 billion in the quarter." You would think that if consumer e-commerce transactions (the kind that Amazon relies on) were on the rise, you wouldn't see this weekness in FDX domestic business. Is this the first sign that Amazon revenues may be weak? You can find the article at: biz.yahoo.com

I'd be interested in getting other views.
