CDRUF has been around (or at least in the works) for a while.

I purchased my Cadre shares long ago on the VSE in the initial flurry. As it collapsed I elected to put it away and just not think about it for awhile. I eventually closed that account and transferred the securities to Ameritrade in mid 1998.

For months, it showed on my statements as Cadre with no symbol. On my March 26, 1999 statement, the position showed with the CDRUF symbol by the name and has been reported that way since on my statements and online queries. Now it would appear that the next step in this evolution is recognition of this symbol by the various online trading and quote services as the market becomes more visible and US-based firms begin to actively make a market in the stock (and not just pass through buy and sell orders to the VSE at a steep mark-up).

<< Have you been able to get electronic quotes for CDRUF>>

No I haven't Bob. I think I might have made my point very poorly. CDRUF is a nasdaq symbol for a CDN stock. You cannot get quotes on CDN stocks though etrade or anyother discount broker that I know of.

I thought rich was saying they had a nasdaq listing which CSL does not have to my knowledge.
