EPS $3/sh x 75 p/e = $225/sh is not totally unreasonable in this environment given such strong fundamental story. This is one of the best wireless + Internet plays. There are 160 million GSM users and 25 million CDMA users today (and the entire market is growing very fast ... you can see it all around you). CDMA's penetration is just at the beginning of a 10-20 year trend. George Gilder said Qualcomm is the Intel of wireless (analogy of CDMA and x86) and many agree.

Story wise, I would say Qualcomm's position in CDMA is better than BRCM's position in cable modems (in the long-run). Qualcomm's p/e should continue to expand in C1999.

Think about this if you are considering taking profits.
