Barney did not say<i/b>"Koestler's controversial thesis..." Barney quoted from your #25934 post and the Oct. 29, 1996 N.Y. Times which said in the next to last paragraph you posted: "More recently, Koestler's controversial thesis has been revived and expanded in a 1993 book..."
So---correctly 'sed: The N.Y. Times said it, Emile posted it, Barney quoted from it.
