Teflon,

I read the G & K thread daily. As you know I also own QCOM and SNDK but Gemstar is the horse that I ride. These holdings are similar in nature with regards to intellectual property but Gemstar differs with its business model.

Once critical mass is achieved this fiscal year they will generate 1 cent for each page of Guide Plus+ Gold that is viewed or a CPM of $10. Guides under license by AOL, Microsoft and others will return to Gemstar 1 cent for each 3 to 4 pages viewed in addition to upfront royalties and monthly or yearly fees. Studies of the only current megachannel environment, satellite, have indicated that 64 pages will be viewed per day per average household. This is why such a battle is being waged by cable. There are many doors into cable households and Henry is knocking on them all.

Regards
Stew
