Henry D,

Not totally exit, Just make sure that what happened in 1997 --- when most of my gains went down the drain --- will not be repeated. I have the feeling that October for the whole Market this time might be higher than August, but just the same, I'll keep Options to a minimum by August. I'll still play a little short-term trading in stocks during that time just to while away the time (to finance my DVD Movie purchases, I take a 100 to 200 dollar quick gain from time to time).

My advice to friends was something like this: ---

"When your investment of say 40K in a 100 Call LEAPs ballooned to 800K (AMAT from about 20 to 100), it's a Good Idea to keep the 700K in a Safe Deposit Box and leave the 100K to Play with... A mere 5K invested in Leaps at the Bottom of the Cycle could be worth 100K at the Top --- that's how exciting investing in AMAT is!"
