<<Second, I know that you have been a "perma bear" for a long time. So, it is no surprise that you are frustrated that your predictions haven't come true. And naturally, you find it convenient to pin the blame on Clinton! >> Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. I hated clinton since he announced his candidacy in 1991 at which time I was a roaring bulls (through late 1996.) I owe that to my colleagues from Arkansas who know the Clintons personally well. If I have to hate one person for market mania, it would be Alan Greenspan - not Slick Willie. I was bearish on the market since mid 1997. And I have gone long on several stocks since then and made good money, if not millions. But I played them for momentum or simply for the reason of selling it higher - no fundamental cover. Even today, if I think DELL will sell at a higher price tomorrow than today, I will not hesitate to buy it and sell it tomorrow. That will not change my opinion on the stock that it is grossly overvalued. This is playing the bubble - no intellectual masterbation which seem to be what most perma bulls do. Frankly I could care less if my predicitons are 100% wrong. I do not sell my advice. If I am right on a predictions and has no monetary interest in that call - only thing I get out of it is personal gratification. Big f'in deal! I too think that Starr should not pursue his case against Clinton - not because he doesn;t have a case. But because the country is indifferent. I believe in Karma siddanta. If Slick is as bad as he painted to be, fate will catch-up to him. <<Third, about that list that you produced. Have you heard of the "eerie similarities" list between the assassination of Lincoln and that of Kennedy? How does one produce such lists? Simple. Take all the evidence that you have. Everything. Then keep throwing away the items that don't fit the conclusion that you have in mind. I recall seeing such an "eerie similarities" list between Apollo 13 and the space shuttle "Challenger" somewhere. Doesn't mean anything, other than that somebody has put his/her creativity to work!>> I didn't expect anything better, much less objective. After all, you are a Clinton backer, aren't you! -g-
