Gurus, et al...

<<<Copper uses are reducing with Fiber Optic Cables rather than copper being used in telecommunication lines>>>

Min-E-Man postulates that telecom fiber is indicative of depressed copper prices for years to come.

I'm just a simpleton, but could one of you hypothesize an answer to the following questions for me:

1) What is the ratio of constant-guage telecom wire to electrical wire in a typical area of development that represents the development goals of the currently underdeveloped world?

2) Are they currently delivering, or do you forsee them delivering, electric power by fiber optic cable?

Andrew

<<I repeat copper prices will likely stay below $.75/pound for the next 5 years at least!!>>

Copper (and like, silver, iron, aluminum, oil, natural gas to a lesser extent, etc., etc.) is a global commodity. And all these commodities are low vs. a strong (overvalued?) US Dollar. If the US$ falls off its perch, cu won't stay under US$.75.

I repeat copper prices will likely stay below $.75/pound for the next 5 years at least!!

Then what in the world are you doing here? Get over to the future pits and short the hell out of copper if you're so certain about it.
