Should Cyrix were still in the hand of Natsemi, I couldn't care less.

Halla is a quitter.

Sooner or later, driven by PURE business considerations.

Via has far better resources than Natsemi.

Behind Via, Formosa Plastics and behind Formosa, is Taiwan INC.

Taiwan wants its economy to be powered by hi-tech, driven by electronics.

Via has a much stronger determination to make Cyrix work.

Taking away the crown jewel of semi chips home, their pride of making Cyrix work will be ABOVE other considerations.

As a possible result, the low end will get a lot lower, the end of price war is nowhere in sight.

without Cyrix dumping in the past quarter, I bet AMD's q2 loss would be much, much less.
