I'm not sure which "competition" you are referring to. If we assume the "competition" you are referring to is Liquid Audio, then quite possibly it may not be competition at all (given a possible EDIG connection with TI/Liquid Audio). If the "competition" you are referring to is the "first secure and portable digital music download solution," then there is no competition. IMHO, the press release was written to mislead. It's analogous to MP3.com announcing the same thing except using secure MP3(?), a 3 1/2" disc, and Winamp. Such a "solution" does not serve the same purpose as EDIG's devices since their purpose is to place the music on portable storage (which we can already do now for the cost of a 3 1/2", zipdisk, etc.) while EDIG's is placing it on a portable playback device (similar to RIO).

Here I am, listening to my "portable" Zip drive go klick of death, klick of death..can't figure out where to put my head phone jacks though..
As Chris said, this was definitely written to mislead...cheap shot from Iomega..times must be tough.
