Mike,

Yeah, you're right. And the applications are becoming
commoditized, as well. We'll start seeing applications
for rent off the web soon, and that will render the
desktop as an application machine a thing of the past.

PC's will be just another computing device, and a cheap
one at that. The whole paradigm for making money in
the PC business in the last 20 years will be turned on
its ear.

You know when hollywood starts making movies about Bill
Gates & Steve Jobs that the PC is ready for the Historical
Society Museum as an artifact of the late 20th century.

There is a certain PC market segment that just wants to surf and email but the vast majority of the PC market belongs to people using desktop software to earn a living or at least aid in their daily job functions.
