Sun is the least of my worries of the big 5 or so in storage. They do no storage development of their own, except with Encore, whom they bought. That is a disaster last I read, Sun saying intros of that product will be as much as a year late. Before Sun bought them, Amdahl couldn't get their stuff working, either. Other than that, Sun just resells Data General developed storage, AFAIK. IBM, HP, CPQ, and the "new" guy, NTAP are, to me, the other innovative leaders in storage, which you have to be to get ahead.
