Ken... You are absolutely right! Home buyers really really need hand holding....and Lenders Interactive Online Network (LION), read Plenum allows the brokers (real estate & mortgage) to hold their hands with velvet gloves and get the mortgage search done in minutes instead of days/weeks......They are the electronic "pink sheets" of the mortgage business.......cannot see how it can fail......regards, flop.

Paying $2000.00+ for an average house in US just for filling out some
forms does not make sense for most folks, imho. I'd use $2000.00
toward my house to lower loan or to improve the house. This can be the
best benis to consumers!

BTW, how many lenders have you seen holding your hands when you moved
in? None for me ever!

later,

InSook

Well I don't think eLoan is looking for the 'we need hand holding' crowd, that would be a different segment if you ask me.

I used E-Loan to refinance. I found it very straight-forward and easy. It was nice NOT to have to deal with the loan-officer types. I would agree, the first time buyers, or folks with non-standard loan requirements, will not be EELN customers. EELN will do better with dropping rates and lots of refi's from us techie types.
