I guess mostly longs by definition, as amateurs know only about going long. And since only amateurs go long at this stage of the market cycle, my conclusion is that the new money coming in is being collected by the better traders who use the money to pay their bills (as opposed to investing in the market). Thus, the market is being creamed off by good traders, drained by people investing abroad again, abandoned by cautious investors, and avoided by people approaching retirement.
