alohal..re "msd/management exercising options"

maybe you can confirm this, but it appears the options are exercised and the shares sold at the market on the same day as exercise...so this year no net gain in holdings....

Alohal, the reason for my comments on Dell and his team buying stock on the open market is simply to express their confidence in the company's future. Of course they exercise their options. Where else has their current stock holdings come from? At least they could stop selling their stock options. JMO

Re:<<Be patient, think long-term, you will be rewarded.>> I exited from Dell when it was still above 50, post split. Since than, I've been trading the stock. Dell long term...I think the jury is still out. At this time I would rate Dell as a market performer. Seems to follow the indicies, to some extent.

Take care,
