>>>I first noticed them at 32 1/8 and they closed it on the bid at 32 5/16, still looking for 44,200 shares.<<<

Once Ancor was officially included into the Russell 3000 today the Russell 3000 Index funds were forced to buy Ancor at whatever price they could get. Judging from the volume still to be filled some may have not got filled yet and will be forced to buy tomorrow. All IMHO of course.

What a day, Ed

I don't believe ANCR's move is Greenspan-related - it started more than half an hour after the market rallied in response. The coincidence in timing with BRCD's drop is much better, and very interesting. I like the window dressing angle - some funds taking profits in BRCD and plowing them into ANCR might cause a pattern like that. Did anybody follow the MM action for both BRCD and ANCR from 3pm on? Any interesting correlations?

BTW, I was watching until after the Fed announcement, saw ANCR remaining flat, and went off for a beer and a movie... came back to find a gain equivalent to what I earn for a living in a year. Kind of embarrassing, but I guess I'll have to get used to it. ;-)

I think the technical term for today is is "woo-weee!"

Andrew,

You wrote:
It ran up to 32 3/4, although I show a reg-t trade after hours at 33.

What exactly is a reg-t trade?

TIA,
Alan
