Insider buying as of July 1, 1999:

Data from insidertrading.com indicates two insiders purchased. The two insiders are:

1. Marc Eller, Chairman of Board, bought 40,000 shares with his own money. The purchase was conducted between 6/17 and 6/21 and the share prices were purchased in a range from $0.91 to $1.03. Please note that he currently owns approximately 353,000 shares.

2. Ziv Yaniv, President, bought 25,000 shares between 6/20 and 6/21 and the share prices were purchased in the $0.97 to $1.04 range. This brings his holdings to 36,000 shares.

Alf, it sounds like you've quietly followed SIDT for a time-frame similar to my own(like 4 years or so?), during which time they've basically had all the usual R&D start-up bad "luck". And, of course, there's LOT'SA controversy swirling around this penny equity. However, I've always kept in the back of my mind the news of one year or so back where two large Asian concerns partnered up with SIDT. Some of the Asian companies have been remarkable prescient on technology in times past, and me thinks the same could hold true this time with regards to flat panel "stuff" and SIDT(I'm gonna have to go dig through files from 4 years back when there was lot'sa talk over the technical aspects of DFED).

But when trying to get a feel for things I always watch the insider activity. Particularly the buying activity, because one could argue there are many different reasons why insiders sell their holdings.....but generally speaking, there's really only one reason why they buy. ;-) Particularly when they buy 40K LARGE, with their own monies. It looks like things just might be starting to get interesting around the 'ol SIDT homestead, and given that insiders typically buy, from my experience, roughly 9 to 12 months ahead of things cutting loose....well.....let's just say SIDT bears watching a little more closely.

Just some food for thought.

John~
