JFD, MSFT trading up 5/16 to 90 1/2 afterhours (CNBC a few minutes ago)
I guess the SEC is "concerned" they are too conservative. However, I trust Maffei and his accounting team did their homework before starting the reserves. Now they have reduced their reserves only due to the new standards.

JFD, Here is Maffei's quote on the investigation.
In a conference call with analysts and reporters, Maffei said the company is ''cooperating fully'' with the investigation and expects it to have no impact on its business and financial condition.

Maffei said the investigation apparently was triggered by an article in The Wall Street Journal early this year.
