I have a worse story about the reception! My brother had a friend with a loft apartment in Soho, one of those ancient converted factories, and the reception was held there. It was on the 5th floor, with one of those staircases that go straight up and have miniscule landings on each floor. There was no elevator whatsoever, and the brother who got married and I had to carry the other brother, who was a grown man, up those terrifying five flights. I was not in great physical shape, and had been driving all day and whatnot, so it took me many minutes to catch my breath and get my heartbeat to go normal. Fortunately, some of my youngest brother's friends brought the wheelchair and brother down at the end, while I got the car! Fortunately, the reception was fairly pleasant....
