Haim, i take it you saw the CBOE options data - p/c ratio below .45 for the third day in a row; since the market action is now technically very bullish due to the high volume breakout today, i am going to scan historical data to see if i can find rallies that have continued when the ratios have been so low at the outset. however, i have only historical data going back to '88 - can you (or anyone else) suggest a source for earlier data?
the announcement of the neutral bias by the FOMC clearly has lit a fire under this market; whether this is fundamentally justifiable or not is probably irrelevant - the fact that several of the major indices made new highs has to be respected.also the emotional barometer - the nutz - broke through the neckline of an inverse H&S pretty convincingly. i am considering to re-adopt the blow-off scenario, but that would likely bring the market down again <g>.
crude oil broke out to fresh contract highs today, btw.
the bond market seems to have found a short term bottom here regardless.

regards,

hb
