Hello Tony. I believe that you are right about your analysis on those analysts. Most of them are like me. As you know I am def. NOT A TECHIE. I have enough problems just keeping my cpt in good running condition even though I am better at it now with it being a Dell with Intel inside. I would not own a PC without Intel inside even for what I need it for. I guess I should not say never. gg. I used to say I will never sell any of my Intel again but did when I knew that those analysts would knock our Intel down again. I had it before it ever split the first time but did sell on and off because of those analysts. Since the internet came to life it is a lot easier to evaluate things but it was impossible for me to hold all of my Intel at all times. In the last 3 years I have kept only a portion of my Intel as a core holding. Too late to worry about it now. In hindsight that's all I would have needed. I of course looked mostly at Intel's business model and followed their progress in awe. But did I or do I understand the whole technical stuff like you and some of the others? No. All I know is that Intel had a great vision and I liked a lot of their slogans, like billions of cpts connected etc. I fig. if anybody could make it, it would be Intel. Technology changes and I am only glad that Intel changes with it. Hence I am very pleased that Intel has branched out into other areas like networking and being a Mutual Fund (I guess in their case it's investing in technology. gg.) I had bought some more Intel earlier this year after selling off quite a bit. I have posted every time when I sold or bought. I don't think that I have ever bashed Intel about their products. Even a company like Intel lives and learns. Only the PR has been questionable at times in my mind.

Luckily I don't listen to the analysts as much anymore now that we can check things out for ourselves on the net. It's great to hear Intel's top brass on audio and get to read all the newest info. At least the ones they want us to know. It was a lot harder earlier on when you only got your prospectus.

Can Intel get away with what other cos. get away with? Def. not. They can't even get away with things that are good AND true. Every little hill becomes a mountain when it involves Intel. Take Msft today with restating earnings. It went up after the market closed. If this had been Intel, they would have sold first and asked questions later.

I remember that one of Intel's officers said at one time something like: If we just sneeze, everybody thinks we are getting a cold. He was actually saying that the slightest little mishap by Intel is generally blown way out of proportion. Luckily I have started to live with that and hope to be steadfast and not sell off some of my Intel again in the near future.

Thanks again for your post.
