Here is a posting from the Individual Investor stock boards, which I feel sums up SO MANY long-term eBay sellers sentiment:

"I've been selling on Ebay since late 1997 and this is the slowest time I have
seen. Summer has always been slower but this year has been almost panic
causing. If Ebay wants to continue to grow they need to be better to their users
and encourage people to stay. I see more new users all the time but dont see
the long time users growing (ie large turnover). It seems once the newness of the
online auction goes away people lose interest. I expect their earnings to really
suffer from the summer (not that earnings have anything to do with their
stockprice now anyways) I would like to see them follow through on the better
customer service ideas as they may be the worst company I have ever dealt with
on that accord. Good luck to all shareholders on this one but I am anxious to
see a big time competitor in this market to push Ebay to be a better site!"
