Eli74; I don't know old you are but I was there. My proof is the New York Times. The buy out made front page headlines as did the announcement and the patent. Your prima facia logic may make sense to you but this is hard fact. Go to the Times archives and do some research before you attempt to characterize my statement or myself. I have the facts, you don't. This occurred during the second oil crisis during the seventies which was very suspicious (as some will remember) anyway. Before you say any more check my story out.You have given the source. Stranger things have happened. Ford was mildly questioned by Wall Street Journal reporters about a year after the buyout and they said they couldn't make it work. Bullshit, these guys built two working prototypes. One with the carburetor already modified and the other with a retrofit. Check it out before you say anything. Shouting me down doesn't change the truth. (You'll notice that you have made me angry. I don't apologize for it either. However, I will not characterize you or your willingness to do it to me. Please learn to be a little more polite when speaking to grownups.) Bill
