Bob, I would wait for the top if I knew where the top might be. When I go long, seldom could I pick the bottom. On the blowoff day last month, I shorted CUST 5 times from 69 to 88, with an average of high 70s. Frankly I didn't know if that was the top either. Six months from now, there's little doubt in my mind that CUST will be in single digits, any prices you sell now will look awfully nice. That doesn't mean I'm holding all my shares for single digits, but I'll most definitely hold my core short position until then. And when I finally decide to close out my position, I'll keep 1 share in my account for good.

It may be hard for you to believe, but I do welcome opportunities to short at higher prices. I use this trading strategy only with POS stocks like CUST.

Regards,

Tom

Bob you put that very well.. I agree that CUST will have its fall but why fight the trend. Excuses, explanations of why it is up.. etc. etc. We are not in school explaining tardiness to the teacher, the stock keeps rising and and rising and money is being lost. I tried to short CUST today and buy puts, but why should I lose money waiting for this to fall. I covered both the short and puts with fractional gains (at one point I was up 2 points until the 'news' came out).. but I would rather sell than hold through another possible CUST RALLY in the morning..

Its the speed and lack of patience that I don't comprehend. What is your hurry? CUST is not ready to give up yet. Perhaps tomorrow it will be but if you are not covering you are losing money and it is getting to be ridiculous watching this play out. I will once again play CUST tomorrow according to the MOMENTUM and not according to the lack of fundamentals for this stock.. That carries as much weight as the price of AMZN compared to its real value.

I've seen that both PHCM and MAIL two of my hits for the past 2 days are on the 'short list' as well and I'm wondering here too. What is the hurry?
