Steve, a confession: Last summer I spent a month in front of the computer daytrading. The outcome was -10% after commissions. Without commissions it would have been +10%. Assuming me to be an average amateur trader, I guess it would take me less than a year to wipe out my capital. To be fair, the bank where I traded warned me and said that very few actually made money and that it involved a lot of work. Quite the opposite of all the hype in the US. We have a Swedish saying, describing this situation: "Lots of noise but little wool" said the farmer, shearing the pig. Regards Per S
