Erik T, from what you described, that's what I was hoping to see. Checkfree's scale of infrastructure will reduce this significantly...Plus, I'd rather pay to an escrow account that give someone my VISA account number...Just call me old fashion...

Quick follow-up to my last post:

>>When are Sellers paid if they are getting paid by check?

Billpoint Pay Day for checks occurs on the third business day of
each month when checks are mailed to you via the US Postal
Service. Billpoint processes check payments by the 3rd business
day of each month for all transactions that are considered "complete" during the previous calendar month.<<

If deciding to use Billpoint I suspect most small businesses or very active auction sellers would utilize the direct deposit (ACH) system offered by Billpoint. I doubt most infrequent sellers would, and instead would be receiving their check from Billpoint via US Postal service??? (not very progressive) anywhere from 14 to 47 days from the time the item shipped. How many of the multitude of small sellers on these auctions will be willing to wait that long? Checkfree's pay anyone system just makes more sense.
