Heading up north to Newport Beach on Saturday to please mom and dad....the usual for the holidays. I'm sure there will be gobs of ham and potato salad and apple pie for dessert. Dad will bring out the old half oak barrel and sink some beers in a bunch of ice and we'll frolic on the deck and take in the ocean air (unless we are having a Santa Ana). My sisters and their families will be there and an occaisional neighbour or friend will drop in...the usual. Plan on skating over to my friends place over by 42nd Street and see if the waves are pumping and maybe borrow a board or just go shoot the breeze scamming on guys at the beach. Probably head over to the pier at Huntington and see if Rabbit or Satch (surfer friends of mine) are going half-cock out in the lineup and probably top the weekend off before the family get-together with a bonfire on the beach and some good drink with my friends. There are always fires at night on the beach. We tell stories and catch up on things, kick back and check out the constellations if a clear night and usually keep warm with a blanket and a bottle of something or maybe a few good tokes...whatever. Down south? Not much...concentrating past few sessions trading the Nets and others making money so I can retire at 30. Did the Mission Bay thing on my friend Amy's parents boats but the fog rolled in too early. Did the boardwalk thingy down at OB and PB hopping from store to store and just meeting people on the walk. Usual trips to 7-11, the mall, happy hour...did you know that the city is getting really harsh on nude use at Blacks these days?? Apparently there have been mega-complaints and now they are enforcing the issue on the city side of the beach forcing the nudies to head north to Torrey Pines State Beach. Went there with Amy and Jeff last weekend. Welp, thats about it. Traded DGIV 2x today for some easy spending money. Wondering if the stock can blow through the $2 resistance tomorrow....will be fun to watch. Have a great eve.....hi to Val! Jane at the beach...not the disco
