Maybe this is an accumulation strategy... Sell short small chunks of shares and erode the company's share price (decline is always on low volume) then once it gets under six or so, hit it hard with some large limit orders. Better be ready to cover tho in case some substantial news hits the wires...

If share value was a true function of supply and demand selling your own shares would defeat the purpose, but given the AMEX listing, scenario seems plausible.

Just a guess, but I'd say that who's ever shorting this one is probably playing the long side as well.
