If I gave you list of all the stocks I've made money in both puts and calls in the last few years, you'd need more than just your 10 fingers. But I'm of the persuasion that the proof is in the lifestyle and the obvious and not having to state the amount of money you made. You could say you made 1k or 1,000,000k it depends on how many 0's your finger feels like attacking the "0" key. How long have you been carrying around that group? No, I don't have experience shorting, I admit that.. but I had the sense to get out of the net sector last week in April and get into puts (I've been buying them for almost 4 years now), I also got out of the technology in August and told everyone to fortify their portfolios with puts, but I don't have that on a 'plaque'. Actually to be honest, I respect your skill and your knowledge and I hope you realize I am not attacking you just a dialogue about shorts, shorting, etc. I think shorters have an important place in the market, and I've stated more than once that you are not really a trader unless you can play the market both long and short. I do well and I'm sure you do well also.. Its just that talk is cheap and anyone can say anthing.. I happened to have made quite a bundle on SKYM those weeks it went through the roof, all thanks to one poster who brought it to my attention. I didn't short it afterwards, but I don't hear you mentioning all the longs that made a fortune on it. I also had one good day on KTEL but that's about it. The other disasters you mention are well known and I've never gone either long or short in any one of them. Just that you are ignoring the profits going long on dogs like CUST or SKYM have given us traders. So don't waste your time explaining to me, because I do understand... and yes I'm guilty I brought the thread CUST in January and also it was an earnings play in May (I posted that already here) and it went from 35 to 80, and I bought SKYM to the thread at the end of December.. only made 150% off of SKYM (my only regret was leaving more profit on the table) I never lost any money from either CUST or SKYM. CUST went from 10 to about 80.. that was the time I left CUST and SKYM for NTBK.. Never returned to SKYM but did return to CUST in early May (I don't regret that either!) but I have no plaque just the posts below:techstocks.com techstocks.com
