I went back and wandered around to the places I could go without logging in. While I was there I blocked all the pictures and stuff so it would load faster. Then I started looking at the counters to see if ads were being blocked, and there were things being blocked, but it may just have been the pictures that I manually blocked. I also noted a lot of cookie requests and some refer requests being blocked, and I've never noticed SI doing either of them before. That may be why I couldn't log in, I suppose. It may also be related to my rejecting the Java applets. Carl
