Barb, I respect IDX management very much. Starting from zero...IDX has grown to be the dominating biometric company. While most other biomertic companies were going down 70% or 80% in value....IDX has more than quadrupled. If you do the DD...you will clearly see that IDX has outperformed the industry in a very big way......Huge, in fact. Anyhow....... Allen and Caron are the IR firm employed by IDX. They put IDX on the WBN........I doubt Fowler cares one way or another. I have always thought it was a waste of money..($20k per year)....and that Westergaard carries little weight in the financial community. But............and this is important.......Please read carefully...... I do believe Westergaard is well connected in New York.....and firmly believe that he can call up friends....pull some strings..... and get Fowler short TV spots and interviews....and so on. I can think of two times where this may have happened....and I think a 7 minute interview on Powerlunch would be well worth $20k So I think the value is in how Westy can grease the wheels/open the doors on Wall Street....rather than the inclusion or promotion in WBN. Does this make sense to you? Westy is a fully disclosed paid promoter......and I seriously doubt any fraud is involved. Westy is harmless.... He is a lot like the paid "lobyists" in DC....you pay them to get you through the door. Lots of people really do respect Westy.....he is a lot like Andy Rooney..with a little PT Barnum thrown in....fun to read.....makes bold statements...and is often correct. He was warning about Y2K.... two years before anyone else. At one time he was considered a lunatic for his beliefs on Y2K.......not anymore. You should go to his website and read his essays....they are very funny...and very futuristic. He pulls no punches.....You might even like his viewpoints. bg
