Old news guys. There is a preliminary list of the new Russell 3000 companies at

russell.com

Some of these additions won't make the "official" list because their floats are too small compared to shares outstanding. (Russell is interested in the 3000 largest "investable" companies.) THQ doesn't fall into that category, so it's a good bet THQ will make the final cut for the Russell 3000, and therefore the Russell 2000 (the smallest 2000 of the largest 3000).

<<< My understanding is that the new Russell stocks won't be announce for a couple of weeks<<<<

My understanding is that the benefit to stocks being added occurs prior to them becoming part of the index (after announcement). This is the same way with exchange listing. The benefit comes before the listing is effective.

Buy the rumor, sell the news.
