I gotta agree with you. The networking companies will grow much faster than the microprocessor companies. I own Intel and think it's a great company but networking is still the fastest growing sector of technology. A few specialized chip companies might be in this league also.

Gary,

Re: My response was that
networking companines (IMO) will outperform the chiop makers over the next
12-18 months as a whole.

FWIW, Lehman Bros. "uncommon values" list that came out this a.m.: T, AOL, LLY, TYC, MSFT, INTC, KLAC, FSR, F, GIC. INTC 12 month target $90. Lehman's top 10 from 6/98 has been up, what'd I see, 40%?

With a BIG FWIW, no CSCO or LU in that list. The closest to a networking co.:GIC? Maybe you don't follow the semiconductor group, but they are embarking on a three or four year boom, largely because inventories have been worked down to zero, and demand for chips from all quarters, including networkers, is exploding.

Don't get me wrong, I have Cisco also, no brainer, but the semis won't exactly be chopped liver either.
