I use options for earnings plays -- and don't hold more than two weeks -- because they go down with the time value of money -- unless the stock is climbing fast.

Right now I've got NITE July 55's (QTN-GK) bought 10 contracts at 3 1/4 and now they are at 7 1/2 (they were at 8 1/2 earlier today). Deciding whether to hold a few more days or sell.

It's hard to predict three months forward -- how do three month options work? Does it mean they don't expire for three months?
Thanks, M
