Pat,

No. The number you want them to beat is the EPS (earnings per share), but as part of the acquisition they are issuing more shares to divide the earnings by. WIND said they would take a one-time charge against earnings to cover acquisition-related expenses, so I expect a negative short-term affect on the EPS.

The question I have is, will developments like this lead to WIND being taken more seriously by Wall Street? Of course the market yawned at WIND today, but it will focus on the embedded internet theme eventually. Perhaps the Liberate IPO later this month will be a catalyst. What this stock needs is for someone like Jim Seymour at TheStreet.Com to support it.
