Article didn't say that, it said...

"More than 35 percent of wireless phones in the United States now use Qualcomm's CDMA technology."

and

"The study warned, however, that Qualcomm will face fierce competition from Nokia and Motorola, which are aggressively pursuing the CDMA market."
