Did some quick calculations applying a formula from petroleum handbook.

There should be enough there for everyone to determine their own values of this announcement.

Bottom line: there is plenty of oil here and the market is undervaluing HEC. I got 200 million barrels of recoverable reserves from some conservative estimates of size of formation.

I don't consider myself an expert, but the numbers look better and the report was definitely positive. I think it was just a way for HEC to say they are optimistic at this time. This wasn't the target zone, but it sure looks like it might be the icing on the cake.
If I were guessing, I would look for subdued and low-keyed releases just as this one was. It is too easy to get expectations high before really having something to brag about. I liked how they did this one.
