Somewhat OT, Katherine, you're taking a mighty risk by posting again. You know it's just inflame you-know-who. <g>

My take is TLAB wants to nibble on the edges of CSCO's biz, but not make a frontal assault. Long term, yes they do compete (or is that combine?)

My guess, and I emphasize the word "guess", is that TLAB will come up against NN more than CSCO.

CSCO has gone back to square one on its ATM strategy.

TLAB's strength has been the carriers, the same market segment as NN has sold into.

NN is in the process of releasing details on its suite of IP products that integrate with its ATM switch.

I'm not absolutely certain that TLAB will compete with NN as opposed to complementing it.
