Hi Maurice,

I'm not saying that management, especially the marketing people, should be sanguine, nor is there anything wrong with raising hell if we think Airtouch is damaging our investment. But when a respected poster like Valueman wrote "If this is what the story is going to be, I will sell my watered down G* bet(LOR) right now!" I thought a little milder perspective was in order.

We have a long Summer and much of Fall (at least in N. America) before we have anything to sell; in the meantime, I hope there's a lot of behind the scenes beta testing and deal making with institutional buyers...but the price/minute for the casual retail buyer can be set much later. Let's see how Irid does with it's new pricing...with customers and with retailers.

For fun, I've several times dropped into "phone stores" and asked about Iridium phones. Most often I get blank stares; once I was told they could get me a phone but they would never carry one in stock "it was too expensive." To the extent that retail consumers are an important market, these outlets have to be motivated and trained to sell...I hope Airtouch will start announcing its distributor relationships soon. I consider that a lot more important than the MSRP at this stage of the game.

Best regards,

RS
