My first impression about another search engine before I checked out their site was "a dime a dozen". But now I have used the Ask Jevees search engine frequently in the last few days comparing it with other search engines. Having not only used search engines (hundreds of them including excite, yahoo, infoseek, lycos, etc) daily and frequently, I have had to constantly guide or give assistance to others in their use of search engines. For whatever reasons, a majority of the people had used or least heard of yahoo. Personally excite has been my trusty standby. Many of the people had had extreme difficulty in finding what they were looking because of not having a grasp of search strings and boolean modifiers.

An inexperienced user can use Ask Jevees right away and make some progress. An experience user may initially prefer his old familiar search engine, but after using it a while may find using Ask Jevees a time saver or a catalyst for new search ideas. Also the orderly presentation of related areas to investigate is a nice feature.

I figure there are more people who will like the convenience of plain english searches than there are like me who seem not to mind sitting in front of a computer all the time. JMHO
