March is a good month for Maui and there are plenty of whales there then. Fishing is alright in March and I'm sure we all have a spot or two where we know the bill fish are. Jed says he will be there.

In Lahaina area the maximum rainfall is 3 inches in January vs. 1 inch in March. Of course the maximum number of whale sightings is greater in winter vs. spring!
