The SEC doesn't require companies to report EPS
based on operations, so it sometimes takes some
digging to find out how things are really going.
It's not uncommon to see a headline with earnings
that include one-time events. Our estimates are
based on operating earnings excluding ALL one-time
events (like sales of investment property, etc.)
It has been awhile since Qualcomm reported a
quarter without unusual events, so our model is
a bit stale. We are predicting earnings of 45
cents/share, but they will most likely report a
higher number. Remember, these are predictions
and PortWatch makes no claim to their accuracy
and assumes absolutely no responsibility for
your investment decisions
