Rebate is for NEW subscribers only. Your $4B doesn't apply.

Oh P.T.
You never took accounting did you? Finance or business strategy? Perhaps Marketing?
Ah well, I understand
You fail to understand how expenses can result in greater profits.
And how the Present Value of a subscriber appreciates when you factor in the revenue streams from e-commerce and advertising? And the income from the outlying years?

Think of subscribers as AOL's INVENTORY and figure what they are worth. AT&T spent about 8000 per subscriber in the UMG deal.

Have you been kicked off the Yahoo board (with the other thousands of low-lifes) when Yahoo cleaned house? Are you now forced to slather you lather here?
This is the last you'll hear from me because you are so BORING!
Mr. Rascal

The AOL free PC service is for a Compuserve connection, not an AOL connection. And while I haven't read the fine print, my guess is the rebate is applied against the Compuserve 20 hours a month service. More details anyone?
