I am not sure what to say. He knew of the plans, at least in a general way, and didn't warn anyone, and helped complete a phase of the plan, by participating in the retrieval of the guns. On the other hand, he was not a fully committed conspirator, and was helpful to the government in resolving the case, so the charges pled to should stand. If it were merely a technical error, then I suppose he deserves his release. But there is something that rebels against in, since he did not take appropriate steps to intervene against the conspiracy, and it may be that the only reason that the prosecutors could stomach the particular plea was the anticipation of a lengthier sentence. I am sorry that this arose, and wish myself that he faced a longer incarceration...
