Joe, thanks for giving up place number two to me by under $100. :-) I too think that picking shorts is very difficult. I generally do not short individual stocks, just indexes or certain mutual funds. I just randomly picked my shorts from a list that Janny-I-Ammy provided a few days ago made up of stocks whose symbol I knew. I wish we could short indexes and mutual funds in the contest. I will try to use inverse logic to how I select longs to select shorts in future contests. Good Luck, HiTech
