PaineWebber's Preissler said Lycos officials told
him their top priority was to build out the
company's e-commerce platform, leading him to
believe the next step in the process is "integration of
direct selling, partner selling, small-business
storefront hosting, product searching and classified
components into one cohesive platform.

"Most of this integration could be completed by the
end of summer, in time to take advantage of the
back-to-school shopping season."
