I was a little hard on Stochastics but I have seen way to many novices (not referring to ED) basing their buy and sell signals on this indicator without ever really understand the math behind it and what it is really tell you. It can give good signals in the right conditions but other signals must be there to confirm the buy/sells. An oscillating indicator by itself can really kill your profits fast.

On a penny with weak depth on the offer, a single small market order (e.g 5000 shares) at the end of the day can total change the chart and signals an indicator give. Should this single order really affect you buy and sell decision dramatically? This is the main reason why many of these indicators work better for larger stocks. It is far harder to manipulate the price at the end of the day (but not impossible) so the signals given but indicators have a little more meaning to them. For pennies, a single broker can make an indicator say what ever he wants.

Best Regards
