DENVER, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- U S WEST today announced that its Board of Directors has determined to authorize the Company's management and advisors to discuss with Qwest Communications International, Inc. issues relating to its June 23 revised merger proposal. Scottsman, I think that Mark may have been correct with an earlier opinion stating that QWST's primary motivation behind going after FRO was to reclaim a good part of their own fiber which they sold in the early deal making days. Now that they are on their way, they want it back. There's a universe of potential in those strands, and I feel that QWST is now uneasy about what it may do to them down the road, if it gets into the hands of GBLX. All IMO.
